Kurt Sahl is a program manager with the University of Washington’s Professional and Continuing Education program where he supervises the Foundations of UX Writing class. As part of the Certificate in Writing, the course is one of the most popular in the entire Writing program portfolio. With the demand for UX Writers increasing, the twice-a-year course fills quickly. Since the majority of writing courses lean more toward creative writing, the UW Writing course attracts fiction as well as non-fiction writers so they can learn to leverage their specific writing skills and seek UX writing roles. In fact, one of the strengths of UX writers is their multidisciplinary backgrounds and ability to interact with technical teams, so knowing something about other writing styles and literature is a critical attribute for job seekers. Our classes are live, online and open to anyone, anywhere. On February 22, stop by the UW Professional and Continuing Education virtual booth to find out why we think UX Writing is so special.
